Music Analysis, informally

Welcome to my blob blog of classical music. I began this blog at the very beginning of 2011 as a way to A) encourage myself to become more familiar with new repertoire and more adept at light analysis, and B) to provide information that is (hopefully) interesting and more specific than that found in your typical set of liner/program notes. For every post you will see the best YouTube videos I was able to find to accompany my repertoire choice, and in general I try to reference the recordings often in the subsequent post.

As befits my aspirations as an orchestral conductor, I focus primarily on orchestral works, but you'll also find concerti, solo works, sonatas, and chamber works in the archives.
